Child Health Nursing
The Department of Child Health Nursing is established in the year 2003 and offers child health nursing training within the framework of Indian Nursing Council. The department is concerned with teaching and training student nurses for the delivery of health services to mothers and children through integrate of preventive, promotive, restorative and rehabilitative services.
The department functions effectively under the guidance and supervision of experienced faculty, a well equipped laboratory and best clinical exposure facilities. The department aims rendering quality service and care to children family and community.
The department enables students to learn the act of caring well and sick children’s by performing health and development assessment, conducting health awareness programmes, organizing school health programmes, celebrating special days related to Maternal and Child Health and also ensure complete participation in health activities organized by the State Government.
Considering each child and family as a unit of the society, the department follows quality and continuous improvement in the field of education, research thereby ensuring continuous professional growth.

Faculty
The faculty of the department imparts in-depth knowledge to the students by various innovative teaching methods. Methods like seminars, symposium, care studies, group discussions, case presentations, field trips, video assisted learning. Problem based learning, competency based learning and procedure demonstrations are used to enhance the knowledge and skills of the students.
